If you read my post on my pink culottes (if not, you can here), you know I LOVE Zara. So when I saw these on sale the same trip, I (actually) squealed with excitement because I had been eyeing the Susana Monaco ones for over $100 more. So. Pumped.
Unfortunately, they are no longer available at Zara.com, but the Susana Monaco pair are still alive and well online and you can get your hands (Legs? Knees? Cheeks?) on your own here. I know the SM pair are made from spandex so I’m sure they are adorably comfortable and a great investment for the fall with a cute pair of ankle booties.
My top is Nanette Lepore and I purchased this floral wrap piece from SoHo Fashion Exchange’s Summer Clearance! If you live in the Columbus area, I highly suggest checking it out – I snagged this baby for only $16. This, this, and this are similar. Also purchased these Sam Edelman pumps at SoHo’s sale, but these are the same kind of look.
And onto accessories! <3 These drop earrings are must-haves this summer, this pair is from Charming Charlie and you can buy them in tons of color combos here for only $12. My hat (also from SoHo) is from World Market, but Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters carry the style here and here (both are on sale, too!). The watch is vintage Gucci, but I’m loving this one from Target for only $20. Shades are Ray Ban, but these dupes are only $5! My Lauren Ralph Lauren leather bucket bag completed the look with casual sophistication.
I wish I could say I slay every day, but on weekends in the summer, I can usually be caught in shorts and a tee or tank. Not super glam, but this is an exciting post because it includes my first sponsored item!
I fell in love with this Free People top last year at Nordstrom Rack – it was only $11!!! It can be worn like a regular scoop or off the shoulder, which is why I always wear this adorable Victoria’s Secret lacy bralette underneath. Unfortunately I couldn’t find this go-to top anywhere, but I love this one, this one, and especially this (on sale! $23) long-sleeve henley which can be lazily worn the same ways. My shorts are from American Eagle a million (exactly) years ago (these are similar) but I will wear them until they have holes in the butt. And not the trendy holes below the cheeks, but the omg-is-she-really-wearing-those-I-can-see-her-undies holes. I’m saving my money for a pair of these, though. And my shoes are top secret (for now…) replicas of these babies! I’ll be putting up a video all about these shoes soon – keep an eye out!
I’m an accessory fanatic too, always wearing my Victoria Emerson wraps…I alternated by black glitter with my white opal skull and got this awesome striped effect. My silver watch is Michael Kors, and my shades are Ray Ban, but these are awesome $14 blue dupes. I usually buy my accessories preowned, because why pay full price when you can let someone else break it in and save hundreds? My watch and my shades were purchased at SoHo Fashion Exchange.
And now…drumroll please…this incredibly perfect bucket bag! I love it so much! I’ve been looking for a quality black leather bag but didn’t want to break the bank on a new designer one, so when I was contacted about a partnership with Lauren Ralph Lauren, I was ecstatic! This textured leather shoulder bag with optional crossbody strap is casual with just the right amount of style. It’s median size can be dressed up or down and will transition perfectly into the fall. I’m pumped. #ad 😉
I have been searching for an awesome pair of culottes for months now, afraid to buy online and not impressed with what I was finding in the stores. I wanted a quality pair in a great summer color for a perfect price point. THESE are them.
One of the few clothing stores Columbus is missing is Zara…thankfully, not for long! A brand new location will be opening in November at Easton. I’m counting down the days. So when I visited Cleveland, I knew I HAD to shop there. Rummaging through the endless racks of pants, I found these incredible hot pink, tie waist culottes on SALE! Needless to say, I’m completely obsessed with them and finding different ways to style them. Unfortunately they are not available online, but these ASOS ones are super similar, plus they come in petite and tall! This hot pink culotte jumpsuit from BooHoo is calling my name, too.
This outfit was perfect for meeting my friend for Sunday brunch in the Short North this past weekend. This crushed velvet and lace cami (similar here) balanced the blousy-ness of the pants without looking baggy, also while adding a feminine touch to the graphic trouser. Keeping with the feminine daintiness, I added these necklaces (mine is all one, but layer this and this for the same look) from Express to keep it current with the wide, matching choker look. Also from Express, my fav nude pumps, naturally. These are almost exact, and these are great if you have a wider foot (and under $35!).
Pink has always been and will always be one of my favorite colors. I tried to deny it multiple times throughout my life in order to seem more edgy or tough, but I quickly realized that was not me. I am girly and glam and that is who I am (insert peace sign and kissy face here). Besides, who says pink can’t be badass, anyway? Not in the sense of this outfit, but you know what I mean.
SO, when I saw this adorable pink Lush romper (now less than $40!), my eyes lit up! I love the whole pom-pom fringe trend and had yet to indulge in it, too. I typically tend to stay away from strapless because Sticky Boobs and strapless bras are not my friends, but this piece has a line of stickiness (sorry, best material description I’ve got) around the inside of the top so a bandeau suffices without encountering any uncomfortable situations. The flowy-ness of the rest of the piece is great for the hot temperatures.
These Franco Sarto cutout, faux suede, stacked sandals are my shoe staple this summer (and these are on my wishlist). They are the PERFECT height for comfortability without sacrificing style and just the right amount of flattering lift. The color goes with absolutely any and everything, too. I finished the look with my LV Bosphore Pochette in Damier Azur, which also goes with everything in the summertime. I’ve debated retiring this guy for a different style, but just can’t seem to let it go.
And a final fun fact about this look, these photos were taken by the pier near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. We couldn’t find a parking spot so I parked (very) illegally to quickly snag these shots! Gotta do whatcha gotta do. 😉
America’s birthday deserves more respect than a pair of denim cut-offs and an Old Navy flag tee, right? This is the classiest festive look you’d see at any fireworks display or barbecue. Guaranteed.
Warm temperatures call for dresses. Plain and simple. No need to mess with multiple pieces or belts or, God forbid, pants. Dresses are an effortless way to look chic and feel comfy – in one piece! Don’t get me started on rompers and jumpsuits, though, cute until you have to pee…
I finished this look with some of my FAV accessories ever (seriously, fav) from Victoria Emerson. I love the White Opal Skull Wrap and La Paz Boho Cuff. They are a great company with incredible products and I wear at least one of my five bracelets daily.
