I’ve done some research to find you the best sales, items, and what I will be picking up this year ALL IN ONE PLACE!

Wishing everyone happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones today!

For the following retailers, YES!

KOHL’S: TONS of items receiving Kohl’s Cash or a gift card, on top of discounted items.

MACY’S: While there are hundreds of incredible online deals, Macy’s will have dozens of in-store ONLY doorbusters this year.

NORDSTROM RACK: Extra 30% off clearance! There are lots of items still available online, but the stores always have some awesome overlooked pieces. One of my favorite places to shop – will definitely be heading here Black Friday!

NORDSTROM: Extra 20% off sale – same rule of thumb applies as the Rack.

These savings are better from the comfort of your home. Most sales start today and go through Monday.

HAUTELOOK: Nordstrom Rack’s exclusively-online sister has adorable pieces on sale for the season. See the next section for what is already in my cart.

J.CREW: Maybe I’m biased because I would rather not roam the mall but stay in a department store, I would shop their 40% everything (really, no exclusions) sale from bed.

EXPRESS: Again, some bias, but I always find better variety and sizing online than in the store. 50% sitewide.

AMAZON: Need I explain? One of the leading online-only sites for Black Friday savings, including Amazon Fashion.

SHOPBOP: Up to 75% off sale, 30% off full-priced items!

If I haven’t already ordered these, I will be tomorrow. Shop directly by clicking the item.

WIN a $100 Gift Card in time for the Holidays! JORD Watches

Still struggling to think of a great gift for that one family member who has everything? Look no further…these beautiful watches are perfect for ANYONE and you can WIN one! Keep reading to find out how!

I recently discovered JORD Watches and found myself intrigued by the sleek and sophisticated wooden designs for men and women. I was even more impressed upon receiving it, the watch is feather-light! I typically prefer large faces on my watches (because I love gaudy jewels) but resent the extra pounds (or so it feels) which come with. My JORD, the Zebrawood & Champagne from the Frankie Series, is the perfect compromise. Browse their collections here.

JORD Wood Watches can also be engraved and personalized, making them an absolutely fabulous gift! Whether your giftee is a watch fan or not, a personalized message makes the piece special and unique. I have worn this gorgeous watch multiple times and have (literally) received compliments EVERY. TIME. The design is so eye-catching and I’m always eager to brag about its light weight and my blog name (!!!) engraved inside!

Because I am totally and deeply in love with this watch, I have partnered with JORD to give away a $100 gift card good for any of their designs JUST in time for the holidays! Even if you don’t win, every entry receives a $25 gift card. It’s a win-win. 🙂

For Work and Play

Office wear is making a comeback in a big way. Blouses are a major staple in my wardrobe, so I love layering and accessorizing them when the temperatures start to drop. Here are some ways to make your office clothing more playful outside the office.

Whether it be a flattering, tailored blazer or a cropped sweater, like I wore, layers to add or subtract to your blouse when altering your setting can bring together your look in a way that keeps you looking chic, not stale. Shop some of my favorites of the season below.

Mix Patterns.

Mixing patterns in the right way (and OWNING it!) immediately makes an outfit more fun and fashionable. I tend to stick within a color scheme and mix patterns matching that so it doesn’t look like I got entirely dressed in the dark. Other rules of thumb I stick to: mix tight patterns with graphic (i.e. my pants vs. my blouse, respectively), linear with linear (to flatter, not hinder), and ~typically~ no more than three busy patterns in one outfit (as to not overwhelm the eye). But, rememberthese are arbitrary rules of mine, tweak them to your style!

!!!! The most important part of ANY look, in my opinion! Jewelry, bags, shoes, and hats are going to amplify your look as soon as your strut out of that cubical. Trade in your briefcase for a crossbody, your kitten heels for badass booties, and drape yourself in jewels fit for a queen. Then, conquer.

16 Halloween Makeup Ideas You Have To Try

If you’ve followed me on social media for any amount of time, you know I LOVE Halloween. It’s the time of year makeup artists and enthusiasts rejoice, as it is finally socially acceptable to leave the house in full glam, full gore, and any and everything in between. Count me in.

Since this is the fourth (omg!) year I have been infatuated with Halloween transformations, I thought I would compile each look I’ve created and rank them based on difficulty. Most are totally doable if you have not even a single artistic bone in your body.

Baywatch Lifeguard

Throw on some highlighter, lashes, gloss, and a red swimsuit. I have a YouTube tutorial on this look, watch it here.

1950’s Barbie

This is completely adjustable and open to interpretation. I always loved being a Pink Lady as a child and this is a grown-up version.

Cute Pikachu

I created this look last year in the heat of PokémonGO. You can still order these ears with Amazon Prime in time for Halloween. Watch the tutorial here.

I created this to go to work in 2014. It worked for me since I already have the long blonde hair down and the makeup I did was very loosely based on the actual character. I’d like to think my eyebrows (at least!) have improved over the past three years!

Sandy from Grease

This look was from a summer photoshoot this year, but I got so many comments comparing me to Sandy, I figured I would include it! Again, this is an easy look if you’re already blonde, but even if not, add some red lips, big hair, and a black off-the-shoulder top. Photo courtesy of Eric Jackson Photography.

Pennywise from “IT”

Very popular this year. Adjustable difficulty depending on the eyes. Watch my tutorial here.

Female Pirate

A hat and some gaudy jewelry will enhance your eyeliner-patch. I actually really liked this eye-dea. 😉

Girly Cat

Basic alert! I’ve been this as a last minute look two (three?) years. Always impressive, despite the fact you’ll see clones at every party.

Again, always impressive despite the over-saturation. This is also adjustable depending on your skill base. (Sorry again for the 2014 BROWS UGH)

Pretty Poison

This look is based off a Pinterest favorite, scrolling for uniquely festive looks a couple years ago. It’s more just Halloween “themed,” as opposed to being based off an actual character. I love how it turned out, though.

I loved this look! It still could be improved upon, but it’s different. Watch my tutorial here.

This is one to be mindful of when creating — you want to look like a living dead, but be careful not to look abused. My mom hated this one for that reason. Personally, I’m proud of my bullet hole.

Unzipped Skeleton

This one was not very difficult, especially since I went for a cartoon-like look, but it took forever. And forever in the shower. Watch it here.

Marilyn Monroe Painting

One of the most difficult face paintings I’ve ever done, despite it being only two colors. This one requires quite a bit of artistic ability for the shadows to look authentic. Watch my tutorial here.

Pop Art Superhero

One of my favorites, if not the absolute fav. I’ve done this look two years in a row and it gets jaw-dropping reactions for the effort it takes. Watch my tutorial here.

Half Skull

This is such a popular look within the past couple years! There are so many incredible variations. My first attempt (two years ago, first photo) was not my best, but I tried again recently and added a vampire element and am really pleased with the outcome. Scroll for more of the vampire-skull shoot!

Please send me anything you recreate! I would LOVE to see!

Free Gift! My Favorite Hand Cream

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I recently discovered L’Occitane’s Peony Collection and fell totally in love. Watch my simple two-step pamper routine using it here.

L’Occitane has now released a collaboration with the beautiful designs of Rifle Paper Co. I’m familiar with L’Occitane and have been for years, and though I had never previously heard of Rifle Paper Co, but I am so excited this collab brought them to my attention! Any floral fanatic will feel satiated simply looking at the products on their website — they carry everything from flower-filled journals to springy sneakers! Keep reading to see how you can receive the gorgeous tin and L’Occitane’s two best-selling products featured below completely FREE.

This colorful collaboration showcases the Rifle Paper designed packaging on L’Occitane’s best-selling, classic hand cream tubes in a trio (a perfect holiday gift for anyone – really, anyone) and the wonderfully scented shea butter trio in small pots. The free gift features one of each!

I’m really loving these products because of their convenience. Either of them, the tube or the pot, can easily be tossed in your purse or backpack for hydration on-the-go, or in your glove compartment to moisturize while sitting at a red light. Though the pots have a refreshing apricot scent, I think I’m partial to the tubes since they’re a little easier to spread and a bit more hygienic.

Luckily, you can receive one of each for FREE! NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. That’s right, you get these cute little products in this cute little tin. I don’t know about you, but I love anything cute and little. Shop here. Act soon, this free gift expires October 31, 2017!

Lounging in Brooklyn in Guilty Soles

If you follow my Instagram, you know I recently visited New York City to realize it was a place for which I didn’t expect to fall head over Guilty Soles heels. I have so much to say about (and so many outfits to share from) my first time in the beautifully hectic city, so stay tuned for that coming soon.

Shoes Guilty Soles | Dress Everly | Necklace Nasty Gal | Bracelets Victoria Emerson

I am so excited to be collaborating with Guilty Soles! I kid you not, when I scrolled through their website, I had a hard time choosing just one pair of shoes. I stalked my roommate for her opinion, triple-texted my mom which was her favorite, I (literally) tossed and turned in bed weighing the pros and cons of the pairs I had narrowed down. Check out my close favorites here, here, and here. Then, I came across these beauties and I knew these were it; they’re occasion shoes, for sure, but they are perfectly feminine, sleek, sexy, with just the right amount of edge. Plus, they help me achieve my dreams of Alaia without having to file bankruptcy. I knew they deserved to touch down on the legendary streets of NYC.

Packing for New York was a sport: setting records for Most Jeans Tried On in a 10 Minute Period, Longest Distance “Oh, DEFINITELY Not” Tops Thrown Across the Room, Most Shoes Shoved into a Duffle Bag. Needless to say, I could take a lesson or two in packing light, but my excuse is now, “I’m a fashion blogger, this is my job.” Totally excusable. As soon as I tried on this floral Everly maxi dress from Thread, I knew it was love. I paired it with my Guilty Soles and readied myself for the city.

Though not the most practical for walking on the Brooklyn Bridge, I sure did feel like a total princess sitting in these gorgeous heels and dreamlike dress. Even with thousands of passersby, taxis racing directly below, and taking photos in these beautiful pieces, I felt so at ease in the moment and lost myself in exactly where I was. Lounging on the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset, with some of my closest friends, looking over the freshly lit skyline of New York. The crowning moment to an absolutely sublime stay.

How To DRESS For Fall

Dresses are an absolute staple: comfortable, adorable, and THIS ONE’S got pockets. They should not be limited to one or two seasons, which is why I love to dress them for the fall, too.

This adorable (on sale) Free People dress has long sleeves and is a dark color, lending itself to cooler temperatures. I paired it with these awesome $18(!) clear-heeled boots — I ordered these online from NastyGal recently and worried about them for two reasons: clear shoes are on the borderline of cute-trendy and almost-tacky to me, and I am so naturally pale I was afraid they’d blend in with my skin tone (lol), but they are SO cute and I’ve gotten compliments on them every time I’ve worn them! — and this $8 floppy hat (which also comes in black). The embroidery on the dress has just a little color, so I added another couple pops with my Ray Bans and my Victoria Emerson Boho Cuff. I am absolutely in love with this Lauren Ralph Lauren bag…it isn’t one I would normally pick out, but I received it from a sponsorship and I am so glad I have it. I wear it constantly and it is a great size and real, textured leather.

How do you style your fall dresses?

How to Rock Summer Tops in the Fall featuring Beautyberry Boutique

I live in colorful, flowy, graphic tops in the summertime, but hate retiring them when the leaves start to fall. These tips will help transition your favorite summer pieces into the cooler months!

This post is in collaboration with an awesome new online company based right here in Ohio called Beautyberry Boutique! Shop the fun floral pieces here!

  • LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS. The more the better! Sometimes all it takes is a cute jacket, other times you can throw a long sleeve underneath, a sweater on top, and bundle a scarf, too, to really achieve that cozy look. My neutral duster (similar) is from Anthropology and my leather jacket is from Hollister.

  • Scarves are a great way to tone down colorful pieces or add color to neutral ones. I love investing in patterned, plain, thick, thin, blanket and everything-in-between scarves. I tie them to bags or in my hair as a fun incorporation, too.

  • Almost ANY color can be transitional, don’t be intimidated to wear brights when it’s cold! It’s all about how you wear it.

  • Your bag can make the difference. I stick to smaller, versatile clutches and crossbody bags in the summer and trade them out for large, darker ones in the fall. Both of my bags and my wallet are from SoHo Fashion Exchange.

  • Though distressed jeans are SO cute in the fall, I personally prefer them with cozy sweaters, so I kept my Rag and Bone pair dark and solid and let the top stand out. I love cargo-style pants and army green is so neutral.

  • Booties. Need I say more? Shop some of my favs here.
